All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, has released the notification for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 for the year 2025. A total of 1,794 vacancies for Nursing Officer posts have been announced. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website aiimsexams.ac.in by March 17, 2025. The application process started on February 24.
AIIMS NORCET-8 Exam 2025: Vacancy Details
Among the total vacancies, AIIMS Patna has the highest number of posts, with 308 vacancies, including 29 seats for differently-abled candidates. It is the only institution with reserved seats for this category. Out of these, 24 seats are for female candidates and 5 for male candidates. Additionally, 300 positions are available at the Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS) in Maidan Garhi, while AIIMS New Delhi has 202 vacancies.
AIIMS NORCET-8 Exam 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 must have one of the following qualifications from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or any State Nursing Council:
BSc (Hons.) Nursing
BSc Nursing
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
Post-Certificate BSc Nursing or Post-Basic BSc Nursing Degree
Additionally, candidates must be registered as nurses with the Indian Nursing Council or any State Nursing Council. A total of 23 AIIMS institutions will recruit Nursing Officers based on NORCET-8 scores. Candidates are advised to check the official notification for detailed information on eligibility and age criteria.
AIIMS NORCET-8 Exam 2025: Application Fee
General/OBC candidates: ₹3,000
SC/ST/EWS candidates: ₹2,400
PwD candidates: Exempted from application fee
The application fee can be paid through debit card, credit card, or net banking.

1. Visit the official website aiimsexams.ac.in.
2. Click on the Recruitment tab and select Nursing Officer.
3. Click on the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 link.
4. Register with your email ID and phone number.
5. Fill in the application form and upload the required documents.
6. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
AIIMS NORCET-8 Exam 2025: Selection Process
The selection process consists of two stages:
Preliminary Exam: Scheduled for April 12, 2025.
Main Exam: Candidates who qualify for the prelims will appear for the main exam on May 2, 2025.
