India is set to witness the launch of the Oppo F29 5G series, which includes the Oppo F29 5G and the Oppo F29 Pro 5G. Oppo has officially confirmed key specifications, colour options, and the launch date of the series. The new lineup is expected to offer a durable build and high-performance features, following the success of its predecessor, the Oppo F27 5G, which debuted in India in August 2024.
Oppo F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G India Launch Date and Availability
Oppo announced the launch date for the F29 5G series via a post on X. The series will be launched in India on March 20 at 12 PM (IST). The Oppo F29 Pro 5G will be available in Granite Black and Marble White colours, while the standard Oppo F29 5G will come in Glacier Blue and Solid Purple options.
Durability and Build Quality
Oppo is positioning the F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G as “durable champions.” Both devices have received MIL-STD-810H-2022 certification, indicating military-grade durability. The smartphones are built with a 360-degree armor body and have undergone rigorous testing by SGS in India. They meet IP66, IP68, and IP69 standards for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for challenging environmental conditions.
The F29 series features an internal frame made of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, a lens protection ring, a raised corner design cover, and sponge bionic cushioning to enhance durability. The series will also support underwater photography, adding to its rugged appeal.

The Oppo F29 5G series will feature a slim design, with a thickness of 7.55mm and a weight of 180 grams. The Pro model is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage for smooth performance.
The Oppo F29 Pro 5G will house a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, ensuring quick charging times and extended battery life.
Expected Pricing and Configurations
Reports suggest that the Oppo F29 Pro 5G could be priced under ₹25,000 in India. The device is expected to launch in two storage configurations — 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
