
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Hindi Elective and Hindi Core papers today in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Students across the country and abroad appeared for the examination at various centers.
Candidates were required to arrive at their respective exam centers by the time specified on their admit cards, dressed in their school uniforms and carrying their school ID cards and admit cards. Private candidates were instructed to wear light-colored clothing and bring a valid photo ID along with their admit card.
In accordance with the board’s guidelines, students were allowed to bring only essential items such as a transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue ink/ballpoint/gel pen, scale, writing pad, eraser, analogue watch, transparent water bottle, metro card, bus pass, and money. Prohibited items included mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smartwatches, cameras, wallets, goggles, handbags, pouches, eatables (unless diabetic), textual material, paper, calculator, pen drive, log table (provided by the center), electronic pen, and scanner.
Special Exam for Holi Celebrations Acknowledging the festival of Holi, which was celebrated on March 14 and in some regions on March 15, CBSE announced that a special exam will be conducted for students who were unable to attend today’s Hindi paper. The date for the special exam is yet to be revealed and will be made available on the official website cbse.gov.in.
Exam Pattern and Analysis The Hindi Elective paper consisted of 13 questions across three sections, and candidates were required to answer questions from all sections sequentially. For Hindi Core, Section A included questions based on unread comprehension, Section B focused on the textbook “Abhivyakti and Madhyam,” and Section C covered “Aaroha and Vitan.” Internal options were provided in both Section B and Section C.
As the exam concluded at 1:30 PM, students and experts are now awaiting the paper analysis, which will offer insights into the difficulty level and overall performance.
