The 12th match of IPL 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium saw Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) struggle against Mumbai Indians (MI), getting bowled out for just 116 runs. Despite the batting collapse, veteran cricketer Manish Pandey created history by joining an exclusive club featuring MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma.
Manish Pandey Becomes IPL Ever-Present
When Pandey walked out as an impact player for KKR after an early top-order collapse, he became only the fourth player in IPL history to feature in every season of the tournament since its inception in 2008. Before him, only Dhoni, Kohli, and Rohit had achieved this rare feat.
Starting his IPL journey with Mumbai Indians in 2008, Pandey made a name for himself in 2009 while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), becoming the first Indian to score an IPL century. Over the years, he has amassed 3,869 runs from 172 matches, with his most successful stint coming with KKR in 2014, when he played a crucial role in their title-winning campaign.
However, his milestone match didn’t go as planned. Pandey managed only 19 runs off 14 balls before debutant Ashwani Kumar dismissed him.
