Patna: Surbhi Raj, the director of Asia Hospital, was shot inside her office on Saturday evening, confirmed Patna City SDPO Atulesh Jha. The tragic incident has sent shockwaves across the city, with police now probing all possible angles behind the attack.
The authorities received information about the incident around 3:30 PM. Upon reaching the hospital, police found that staff members had discovered Surbhi Raj unconscious and covered in blood inside her office. She was immediately rushed to the ICU, where doctors diagnosed her with multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite medical intervention, her condition deteriorated, and she was referred to AIIMS Patna for further treatment. However, reports later confirmed that she succumbed to her injuries.
Investigation Underway
The police have launched a thorough investigation, and forensic teams are collecting evidence from the crime scene. Authorities are yet to confirm whether the attack was targeted or if it stemmed from personal or professional conflicts.
“We are investigating the case from all possible angles and analyzing available evidence,” said SDPO Atulesh Jha.
