India’s billionaire landscape is expanding at record speed. As the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025 was released today, it not only reaffirmed Mukesh Ambani’s position as the richest Indian for yet another year but also welcomed 13 new entrants across diverse industries, from FMCG and infrastructure to technology and real estate.
Mukesh Ambani & Family Still at the Top
With an estimated net worth of ₹9.55 lakh crore, Mukesh Ambani and family continue to dominate the top spot. Close behind is Gautam Adani & family at ₹8.14 lakh crore, who managed to retain second place despite a reported dip of nearly 30% in their overall wealth.
Roshni Nadar Makes Historic Entry at Rank 3
The biggest headline-maker this year is Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCL Technologies, who debuted directly at Rank 3 with a staggering ₹2.84 lakh crore in wealth. She is now the richest woman in India, the only woman in the top 10, and one of the few self-made female billionaires in the country, joining icons like Falguni Nayar (Nykaa) and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (Biocon).
Hurun India’s founder Anas Rahman Junaid praised her rise, stating, “She joins 100 other women on the list… proving women are now central catalysts in unlocking India’s economic potential.”
Haldiram & Ai Tech Lead the Hunger for Billionaires
One of the most impressive jumps came from the Haldiram Group, where multiple family members — including Manohar Lal Agarwal, Madhusudhan Agarwal, and Shivkishan Moolchand Agarwal — made it to the list with wealth upwards of ₹38,000 crore. Their rapid rise signals India’s deep-rooted brand loyalty and the growing dominance of traditional Indian snack companies in the global market.
Tech entrepreneur Divyank Turakhia, founder of Ai Tech, marked another highlight by jumping 108 spots to reach Rank 98 with ₹30,680 crore.
Real Estate & Infrastructure Tycoons Climb the Ladder
Realty and infrastructure giants also made significant moves. Basant Bansal & family of M3M Group surged forward to Rank 63, while Sanjay Dangi & family of Authum Investments entered at Rank 71, reflecting continued momentum in India’s construction and capital markets.
