India Women Crush Sri Lanka: The Indian Women’s Cricket Team made a dominant start to their seven-match One Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka Women, clinching a resounding 9-wicket victory at the R. Premadasa Stadium today.

Winning the toss and opting to bowl first, India’s bowlers put up a clinical display to dismiss Sri Lanka for just 147 runs in 38.1 overs. Sneh Rana starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 31 runs in her 8 overs. Deepti Sharma also impressed with a tight spell, finishing with figures of 2 for 22 in 5.1 overs. Smriti Mandhana gave India a brisk start, scoring 43 off 46 balls before falling to Inoka Ranaweera. However, the duo of Pratika Rawal and Harleen Deol steered India home with an unbroken partnership.

Pratika Rawal was the standout performer with the bat, anchoring the innings with a composed unbeaten 50 off 62 balls. Harleen Deol supported her superbly with an unbeaten 48 off 71 deliveries. Their confident strokeplay and excellent running between the wickets ensured India never looked in trouble during the chase.
