A devastating explosion rocked a house in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, on Saturday evening, resulting in the tragic death of four family members and leaving one person critically injured. Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the blast.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Mayank Mishra, the explosion did not originate from a gas cylinder, as initially suspected. Instead, it occurred inside a bedroom, causing extensive damage to the house.
Investigation Underway Forensic teams and blast analysis experts have been deployed to examine the site and gather evidence. While local residents speculated that a gas cylinder explosion might have caused the incident, police dismissed this theory, emphasizing that the gas cylinder remained intact. The air conditioner unit in the room was severely damaged, raising suspicions of a possible AC compressor explosion. However, authorities have not yet confirmed this.

DCP Mishra stated, “The explosion had a significant impact on the entire house. Our forensic team is thoroughly investigating to determine the cause. We are working closely with experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and will update once we have concrete findings.”

The sole survivor, identified as Haripal Singh, sustained severe injuries and has been admitted to Rohtak’s Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment.
Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene, extinguishing the flames and recovering the victims’ bodies. Local authorities are continuing their probe to ascertain the exact reason behind the explosion.
