Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Gujarat Giants aimed to restrict Mumbai’s power-packed batting order. However, MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front with a brilliant 54 off 33 balls, anchoring the innings in the middle overs. Nat Sciver-Brunt (38 off 31) provided stability, while Amanjot Kaur’s explosive 27 off just 15 balls powered MI to a competitive total.
Gujarat’s bowling attack had moments of brilliance, with Ashleigh Gardner (1/27) and Priya Mishra (1/23) keeping things tight. Kashvee Gautam (1/32) also chipped in with a crucial wicket, but MI’s batters ensured they had a strong total to defend.
