Poco F7 Ultra Debuts with Flagship Specs at an Affordable Price, Know The Full Features

Poco is making a bold move in the smartphone market with its first-ever “Ultra” branded device—the Poco F7 Ultra. Packed with premium features, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a triple-camera setup, 120W wired charging, and IP68 durability, the phone offers flagship-level performance at a surprisingly budget-friendly price. Launched in the UK for £649 (approximately $835), the F7 Ultra stands out as one of the most affordable devices powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier processor.

Flagship Performance at a Mid-Range Price

As a sub-brand of Xiaomi, Poco has built its reputation on delivering powerful smartphones at competitive prices. The F-series traditionally pushes closer to flagship territory, and the F7 Ultra is no exception. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, ensuring smooth performance for power users. The only rival offering the Snapdragon 8 Elite at a lower price is the Redmagic 10 Pro, but its gaming-centric design may not appeal to all consumers. Additionally, Poco promises four major Android updates, making it a more future-proof choice compared to Redmagic’s single-update policy.

Impressive Camera System

The F7 Ultra boasts a 50MP main camera (f/1.6 aperture), a 50MP 2.5x telephoto lens, and a 32MP ultrawide camera, offering versatility for photography enthusiasts. A 32MP front camera ensures sharp and detailed selfies. Early tests suggest good dynamic range, vibrant colors, and minimal noise, though digital zooming past the telephoto lens can lead to some loss in quality.

Stunning Display and Fast Charging

The device features a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1440p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a sharp and smooth visual experience. A 5,300mAh battery powers the device, complemented by 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring rapid power-ups. The phone also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, making it a durable choice. However, it uses Poco’s Shield Glass instead of Corning’s Gorilla Glass for protection.

Striking Design with Slim Profile

True to Poco’s signature style, the F7 Ultra comes in a bold yellow finish, with a more understated black variant for those who prefer a classic look. The glossy accents around the camera add a touch of elegance. At 8.39mm thick, it maintains a slim profile, although it doesn’t entirely match the premium feel of higher-end flagships.

Poco F7 Pro: A More Affordable Alternative

Alongside the F7 Ultra, Poco has introduced the F7 Pro at £499 (approximately $645). While similar in design, it features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a larger 6,000mAh battery, and 90W wired charging—but lacks wireless charging. The camera setup is notably scaled-down, with an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 20MP selfie camera, and no telephoto lens.

Both models are now available in the UK and Europe, offering flagship features at a fraction of the price of premium competitors.
