Rewa Horror: Newlywed Woman Found Dead in Rented Room, Husband Accused of Murder After Repeated Domestic Abuse

Rewa Horror: In a deeply disturbing incident from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, a young woman named Ulfat Jahan was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her rented accommodation in the Bichhiya Takiya locality. Her husband, Saif Khan alias Bugga, is now at the center of a serious murder investigation following multiple allegations of domestic abuse.

A Love Marriage That Took a Dark Turn

According to reports, Saif Khan, a resident of the Bichhiya Takiya neighborhood, had lured Ulfat Jahan into a romantic relationship, promising her a better life. After convincing her family, the two tied the knot in a consensual love marriage. However, just days after the wedding, cracks began to appear in their relationship—primarily due to financial struggles.

The couple’s frequent arguments over money soon turned into a recurring police matter. The Bichhiya Police had to intervene on several occasions, counseling the couple and sending them back to their home with hopes of reconciliation. But the peace was short-lived.

Shocking Discovery in Rented House

On Saturday morning, residents of the area were alarmed by a foul odor coming from the couple’s rented room. Suspicious neighbors alerted the police, who broke open the door and discovered Ulfat Jahan’s lifeless body inside. The body had reportedly started decomposing, indicating she had been dead for over 24 hours.

The police immediately cordoned off the area and began collecting forensic evidence from the scene.

Family Accuses Husband of Ongoing Abuse

Ulfat’s mother, upon receiving the devastating news, rushed to the scene and leveled grave accusations against her daughter’s husband and his family. She claimed that her daughter had been a victim of regular physical abuse at the hands of Saif Khan. According to her, several complaints had already been filed at the local police station regarding the ongoing domestic violence.

She further revealed that her last conversation with Ulfat was two days prior to the discovery of the body. Repeated calls to her daughter went unanswered after that. The family only learned about the incident when Saif Khan’s father contacted them.

Police Suspect Murder

Speaking to the media, City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Shivali Chaturvedi confirmed that Saif Khan and Ulfat Jahan had entered into a love marriage but frequently clashed. “Initial investigation suggests that this could be a case of murder. The estimated time of death exceeds 24 hours,” she stated.

Police have gathered key evidence from the spot and launched a thorough investigation, keeping all angles open. The search for the accused is underway, and officials have assured that the suspect will be apprehended soon.

A Grim Reminder of Silent Suffering

This case serves as a tragic reminder of the silent suffering that often goes unnoticed within homes. Despite police interventions, the abuse reportedly continued until it culminated in the death of a young woman who had once believed in love and a better future.

The local community is in shock, and questions are being raised about the efficacy of previous police actions and whether timely intervention could have saved a life.

As the investigation continues, justice now hangs in the balance.
