In 2009, Bolla broke new ground by becoming the first international blind student to enroll in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he studied business management.

After completing his education, Bolla returned to India with a vision to empower differently-abled individuals. In 2012, he founded Bollant Industries, a company specializing in the production of eco-friendly, disposable consumer products and packaging solutions. A significant aspect of his enterprise is its inclusive employment policy, providing jobs to hundreds of people with disabilities. Under his leadership, Bollant Industries has grown substantially, with an estimated valuation of around ₹500 crores (approximately $65 million USD) as of 2024.
