Sunrisers Hyderabad Smash Record 286/6 Against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 Thriller,Ishan Kishan Hits Century

Hyderabad’s Batting Blitz Sets IPL Ablaze

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) delivered a jaw-dropping batting performance in their IPL 2025 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR), posting a colossal 286/6 in 20 overs—the highest total of the season so far. With explosive contributions from Ishan Kishan, Travis Head, and Heinrich Klaasen, SRH put up a batting masterclass at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Kishan’s Century and Head’s Blazing Start

The foundation of SRH’s mammoth total was laid by Ishan Kishan, who smashed a sensational 106 off 47 balls, hitting 11 fours and 6 sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 225.53. He remained unbeaten, anchoring the innings while punishing the RR bowlers all around the park.

Earlier, Travis Head gave SRH a flying start, hammering 67 off 31 balls, featuring 9 boundaries and 3 sixes. His aggressive intent set the tone for Hyderabad, ensuring they capitalized on the powerplay. Abhishek Sharma (24 off 11) played a quickfire cameo but was dismissed early.

Middle Order Carnage: Klaasen and Reddy Go Berserk

As if Head and Kishan’s fireworks weren’t enough, Heinrich Klaasen continued his rich vein of form, slamming 34 off just 14 balls with a strike rate of 242.86. He was well-supported by Nitish Kumar Reddy (30 off 15 balls), who played some exquisite shots to propel SRH past the 250-run mark.

Even a late flurry of wickets couldn’t stop the run riot as SRH finished with a jaw-dropping 286/6, the second-highest IPL total ever.

Rajasthan Royals’ Nightmare with the Ball

It was a day to forget for Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers, who struggled to contain Hyderabad’s relentless attack. Jofra Archer (4-0-76-0) had one of his most expensive spells in IPL history, while Fazalhaq Farooqi (3-0-49-0) and Maheesh Theekshana (4-0-52-2) failed to provide any breakthroughs at crucial moments.

The only positive for RR was Tushar Deshpande, who managed to pick up 3 wickets for 44 runs in his four-over spell. However, even he couldn’t stop the flow of runs, as SRH kept finding the boundary with ease.

Can RR Chase Down the Record Total?

With 286 runs to chase, Rajasthan Royals now face an uphill battle. The onus will be on Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sanju Samson to lead the charge in what could be a historic run chase.

Will RR pull off the impossible, or will SRH’s record-breaking innings prove too much to handle? Stay tuned for what promises to be an electrifying second innings!
