TN HSE (+1) Class 11 Results 2025 Declared: Over 8 Lakh Students Registered, Girls Outperform Boys with 95.13% Pass Rate

TN HSE (+1) Class 11 Results 2025 Declared: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) has officially declared the Class 11 HSE (+1) Result 2025 today at 2 PM. The results are now available on the official websites — tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. Students can also access their digital marksheets via the DigiLocker platform using Aadhaar-linked credentials.

This year, a total of 8,07,098 students registered for the TN +1 board examinations, including 4,24,610 girls and 3,82,488 boys. Out of these, 7,43,232 students passed, achieving an overall pass percentage of 92.09%. Girls outshone boys once again with a pass percentage of 95.13%, while boys recorded 88.70%.

TN +1 Result 2025: How to Check

Students can follow the steps below to check and download their marks memo:

  1. Visit the official website — tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in
  2. Click on the “HSE +1 Result 2025” link
  3. Enter your roll number and date of birth
  4. Click “Get Marks” to view the result
  5. Download and print your scorecard for future reference

Key Highlights:

  • Exam Dates: Theory exams were held from March 5 to March 27, 2025, while the practical exams took place between February 15 and 21, 2025.
  • No Topper List: Continuing its policy since 2018, the board has not released a topper list to prevent unhealthy competition. Instead, the district with the highest pass percentage will be recognized.
  • Passing Criteria: Students must secure a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. For subjects with 70 marks in theory, at least 15 marks in theory and a total of 35 marks are required to pass. There is no minimum requirement for internal or practical components.

A total of 8,446 students scored 100 in at least one subject, including 582 from government schools.

Supplementary Exams & Revaluation:

Students who fail to pass the exam can appear in the supplementary examinations, with dates to be announced soon. The board also provides a re-checking/revaluation option through its official portal.

TN +1 No Detention Policy:

The Tamil Nadu government continues with its no-detention policy for Class 11. This means students who fail are still promoted to Class 12 and can reappear for the failed subjects later, reducing academic pressure.
