UPSC CDS & NDA/NA Result 2025 Declared: What’s Next for Qualified Candidates?

New Delhi, April 29, 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the results for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) 2025 and the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (NDA/NA) Examination (I) 2025. The results, released on April 28, are now available for download on the commission’s official website — upsc.gov.in.

The announcement marks a crucial milestone for hundreds of candidates aspiring to serve in the Indian Armed Forces. Through this recruitment cycle, 457 vacancies are being filled under the CDS route and 406 vacancies through the NDA/NA path.

Where and How to Check the UPSC CDS & NDA/NA Result 2025

Candidates who appeared for the exams can access their results by visiting the UPSC website and clicking on the relevant result links under the “What’s New” section. The result PDFs contain roll numbers and names of candidates who have qualified for the next phase — the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.

SSB Interview Registration Now Mandatory

Candidates who have cleared the NDA/NA and CDS exams must now register on the Indian Army’s recruitment portal — joinindianarmy.nic.in — within two weeks of the result announcement. This step is mandatory to receive information regarding their SSB interview centers and dates, which will be communicated via the candidate’s registered email ID.

As per the official release:

“The successful candidates would then be allotted Selection Centers and dates of SSB interview, which shall be communicated on their registered e-mail ID. Any candidate who has already registered earlier on the site will not be required to do so. In case of any query or login issue, candidates can email dir-recruiting6-mod@nic.in.”

Courses Begin in January 2026

For those qualifying through the NDA/NA Examination, training is set to begin on 2 January 2026 at premier defense academies, including the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and the Indian Naval Academy (INA). The CDS-qualified candidates will also be inducted into the IMA, INA, Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA), depending on their preference and merit ranking.

Provisional Candidature and Document Verification

It is important to note that all current selections are provisional, subject to candidates passing the SSB interview and satisfying the eligibility conditions regarding age, education, and physical standards. Failure to meet any of these requirements may result in cancellation of the candidature.

Mark Sheets Available for Limited Period

The mark sheets of all candidates — successful and unsuccessful — will be made available online for 30 days following the publication of final results. Candidates are strongly advised to download and save their scorecards for future reference within this window.
