13 Arrested for Violence in Mhow After Stone-Pelting at Cricket Victory Rally

Mhow, Madhya Pradesh – March 10, 2025: Thirteen individuals have been arrested following violent clashes that erupted in Mhow after a rally celebrating India’s cricket victory against New Zealand turned chaotic. The rally, organized by a group of young cricket enthusiasts, quickly spiraled into disorder when stone-pelting incidents were reported.

According to police officials, the celebratory procession, which was meant to honor India’s final victory over New Zealand, took a violent turn when unidentified individuals began throwing stones. Soon after the violence broke out, law enforcement authorities rushed to the scene and worked to restore order in the troubled area.

“We received information about the disturbances and immediately deployed forces to contain the situation. The situation is now under control, and further investigations are ongoing,” said a senior police officer.

The authorities have urged residents to maintain peace and refrain from engaging in unlawful activities. Additional security measures have been implemented in the area to prevent further escalations.
