Pahalgam’s Pain: Indian Forces Respond with Iron Fist
In a country where every life holds value, the haunting echoes of gunfire in Pahalgam’s scenic valley on April 22, 2025, sent shockwaves through the nation. What should have been a peaceful day for tourists in Kashmir’s “Mini Switzerland” turned into a massacre as 26 innocent lives—including a Nepali tourist—were lost in a brutal terrorist ambush.
India mourned, but did not stay silent. Within days, the perpetrators of this heart-wrenching act found themselves hunted down—not only on the battlefield but also at home.
Demolition of Terror: Seven Lashkar Terrorists’ Homes Destroyed
A Decisive Crackdown Begins
Late Friday night, security forces—including the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu & Kashmir Police—launched a coordinated crackdown on known Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives. In a swift and powerful move, they demolished homes of seven active terrorists across South Kashmir, spreading a clear message: terrorism will no longer find safe shelter in the Valley.
District-wise Action: Home After Home Reduced to Rubble
1. Shopian – Shahid Ahmed Kutte
In Chotipora village of Shopian district, the house of LeT commander Shahid Ahmed Kutte was razed to the ground. Officials confirmed that Kutte had been active in militancy for over four years and had coordinated several deadly attacks.
2. Kulgam – Zahid Ahmed
In Kulgam’s Matlam area, the residence of Zahid Ahmed, another active LeT terrorist, was demolished. Zahid has been under the radar for his involvement in cross-border coordination.
3. Pulwama – Ahsan Ul Haq
A significant strike was made in Pulwama’s Murran region, where Ahsan Ul Haq’s house was blown up. Ahsan received terror training in Pakistan in 2018 and had recently reappeared on the Valley’s radar.
4. Pulwama – Ehsan Ahmed Sheikh
Another Lashkar terrorist, Ehsan Ahmed Sheikh, who was active since June 2023, also lost his two-storey house in the crackdown.
5. Pulwama – Haris Ahmed
The house of Haris Ahmed, active in militancy since 2023, was similarly destroyed.
6. Pulwama – Kachipora Residence
A house in Kachipora, Pulwama, linked to active terror activities, was also demolished using controlled explosives.
7. Pahalgam Attack Accused – Adil Hussain & Asif Sheikh
Before this operation, on Thursday night, homes of Adil Hussain and Asif Sheikh, both believed to be involved in the April 22 Pahalgam massacre, were also destroyed. Authorities found traces of explosives stored within the structures.
The Attack That Shook Pahalgam
April 22 was supposed to be another beautiful spring day in the lush green meadows of Pahalgam, a haven for nature lovers and families. But peace shattered as bullets rained down on unsuspecting tourists.
With no place to hide in the open fields, chaos ensued. Screams echoed across the valley. Among the dead was a Nepali citizen, while others were Indian nationals from various states who had come to breathe fresh air and admire snow-capped peaks. Their dreams, like the silence of Pahalgam, were brutally broken.
India Strikes Back: Diplomacy and Defense Together
Reacting strongly, the Indian government held Pakistan accountable for aiding and abetting terrorism. In a powerful diplomatic move, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and expelled Pakistani military officials. Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed, “Every terrorist and their helper will be hunted down and punished.”
The Indian security apparatus has now intensified search operations across Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, and Anantnag. Meanwhile, police released sketches of three terrorists believed to be involved in the Pahalgam attack. A ₹20 lakh reward has been announced for anyone who helps locate them.
No Safe Haven for Terror
This isn’t just about destroying buildings—it’s about uprooting the safe havens that allow terror to thrive. Kashmir has long been a land of beauty, shadowed by the trauma of militancy. But today, India is rewriting that narrative, one operation at a time.
The people of Kashmir deserve peace. The tourists who come to Pahalgam deserve safety. And the souls lost in the attack deserve justice. The demolition of these homes sends a message that India will not let its tears go unanswered.
